Tebuireng.online— KH Foundation. M. Hasyim Asy’ari Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School held a socialization on Household Budgets (ART). This is intended to ensure that the Islamic boarding school program runs smoothly during this period after a review is carried out. The socialization activity which was held on Saturday (9/5/2026) was located in the hall on the 1st floor of the Yusuf Hasyim Pesantren Tebuireng building.

Meanwhile, the caretaker of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, KH. Abdul Hakim Machfudz, was unable to attend the event and entrusted his trust to the attendees. That the Tebuireng Foundation and Islamic Boarding School are all dzurriyah KH. Hasyim Asy’ari. Gus Kikin invited all parts of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School to always serve to advance and develop Tebuireng.
Present at this event, Mudir 1 Dr. H. Abdul Ghofar, Mudir 2 Gus H. Muhammad Hasyim, Mudir 3 H. Lukman Hakim, Mudir 4 H. Agus Abdul Mughni, Mudir 5 KH. Achmad Roziqi, LC., MA, Mudir 6 KH. Muhammad Riza Yusuf, Chairman of the KH Foundation. M. Hasyim Asy’ari, the foundation’s board of trustees, the foundation’s administrators, all the dzurriyah of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, the head of the boarding school, and all the heads of Tebuireng Raya.
The event opened with remarks by the Chairman of the Foundation, KH. Hasyim Asy’ari, Ir. H. Rifky Effendi Hardijanto. He said that after the foundation had been established for 42 years since 1983, for the first time a socialization of the ART that had just been drawn up was held.
“So this is why we are preparing it, so that the legal products we produce, decrees and so on are legal benchmarks. Later they will become legal benchmarks compared to other legal products that we produce,” explained Gus Rifky.

Next, KH. Muhammad Irfan Yusuf as the representative of the supervisory board, who was unable to attend, conveyed his message through a video. He revealed that this event had the aim of ensuring that all parts of the Islamic boarding school could carry out, understand and implement well all the things regulated in the ART.
The Minister of Hajj and Umrah revealed that there is a similar vision between NU and the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School. According to him, NU is an organization that operates in the field of benefit. Meanwhile, the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School operates in the field of education and teaching. Therefore, unity and cohesion between boarding school administrators is needed to pursue progress and glory like in the past.

“Hopefully this can be our effort to improve the quality of education in Tebuireng so that it develops further in accordance with Hadratussyaikh’s mandate,” continued Gus Irfan. He also hopes that Dzurriyah can carry out his mandate well, including teachers, employees and all parts of the Islamic boarding school. Everyone is responsible for developing Hadratussyaikh’s mandate.
Then the event continued with ART socialization delivered by Hj. Mutia Farida as member of the advisory board and Gus Fikri Hamdani as deputy treasurer. After the socialization ended, a question and answer session opened which created an interactive discussion. The discussion discussed the importance of transparency in the financial management of Islamic boarding schools and foundations, especially the separation of funding sources such as tuition fees, donations and proceeds from foundation assets so that their use is clear and accountable.
Foundation administrators explained that they had formed several working groups to improve administration, assets, finances and business because so far financial data and reports had not been properly consolidated. Apart from that, the development of education and strengthening of Islamic boarding school facilities was also discussed. The management emphasized that education and finance are two main aspects that must be strengthened together for the progress of the Islamic boarding school.
On the other hand, Ning Nurul Fatchiati as secretary of the foundation, revealed that the real aim of this activity was to carry out the mandate of our advisory board meeting at the foundation which was held on February 5 2026 in Jakarta.
“The foundation’s board of trustees ordered the daily management to carry out ART socialization so that it becomes a common reference in carrying out the mandate for Tebuireng and other institutions,” he said when interviewed.

This ART socialization is the first to be carried out and is planned to involve all parties who are administrators and implementers of the community at the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School. It was stated that after this socialization it is likely that questions or things that have just occurred to you and feel unclear will still arise. Therefore, participants are welcome to ask questions and the management is open to receiving input and bridging communication with the Board of Trustees.
The management also emphasized that they do not have the authority to make decisions or determine the foundation’s strategic policies. This authority rests with the Board of Trustees, including in terms of the foundation’s bylaws. Therefore, the socialization was delivered directly by Mrs. Nyai Mutia as a member of the Board of Trustees who also has a legal background as a notary, so she is considered to understand deeply the issues of AD/ART and foundation governance.
