Tebuireng.online- The Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School officially closed the entire series of agendas for the 2026 New Santri Orientation Period (MOSBA). This closing was marked by an inauguration procession which took place solemnly in the foyer of the Tebuireng Main Mosque, Jombang, East Java, Tuesday (07/07/2026). This momentum is a symbol of the start of the spiritual and academic journey of the students in the land of the Tebuireng science bridge.
This sacred event was attended directly by the Director III for Pondok and Diniyah, H. Lukman Hakim, along with the board heads, deputy heads of lodges, unit coordinators, the executive committee, as well as 650 new students who had passed the orientation since the first day.
Starting the closing process, the Head of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, Ustadz Syifaul Fu’ad, left a deep message regarding the urgency of setting intentions in seeking knowledge. According to him, clean intentions should not just stop at verbally, but must be proven through seriousness, mental resilience and discipline in following the dormitory routine.
“Renew your intentions every day. Strong intentions will strengthen our enthusiasm for seeking knowledge and lead us to gain knowledge that is useful and full of blessings,” said Ustadz Syifaul Fu’ad, Tuesday.
So that the new students do not feel strange in their new environment, the Deputy Head of the Boarding School, Ustadz Umar Abdul Aziz, introduced the management and the care structure one by one. This step is taken so that the students know where to communicate and who the mentor is who will accompany and look after them 24 hours at the boarding school.
As a form of appreciation for the hard work of the participants, the committee also distributed awards for the categories of most active group, most compact group, and best participants during the MOSBA. This appreciation is offered to spark a spirit of healthy competition from an early age.
Entering the peak of the event, Mudir III for Pondok and Diniyah, H. Lukman Hakim, directly led the procession to inaugurate hundreds of new students as part of the extended family of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School. In his direction, he underlined that the main key to the absorption of Islamic boarding school knowledge lies in the strength of adab towards teachers and all teachers.
H. Lukman Hakim reminded that the ustadz, kiai and supervisors at the boarding school are the legal substitutes for the students’ biological parents while they migrate to Jombang. Hence, attitude so born (respect) absolutely must be maintained as a spiritual bridge to achieve blessed knowledge. Apart from that, he also invited students to maintain Tebuireng’s great reputation by complying with applicable laws.
The series of MOSBA 2026 closing ceremonies finally ended with a joint prayer led by Ustadz Slamet Habib. Through this inauguration, it is hoped that the new generation of Tebuireng will be able to immediately adapt independently, have strong moral resilience, and be ready to serve religion and society in the future.
