In the middle of the archipelago of Alor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, there is a small island known to the local community as Kambing Island. As the name suggests, this island is home to hundreds of goats owned by local farmers who are allowed to breed naturally in the open air.
To reach Kambing Island, the journey must be taken by motorboat via sea. This island is uninhabited and has no fresh water sources. Just stretches of hills, wild bushes, and goats that live freely along the island.
For people in several villages in Alor Regency, goat farming has been a source of livelihood for a long time. Some goats are kept around the house, while others are released on Kambing Island so they can breed and find food from the wild plants that grow there.
“If we want to see goats, we usually go by motorboat. We don’t go there every day because it takes time,” said Mr Musa, one of the local breeders.
The uniqueness of Kambing Island is not only because the entire island is inhabited by goats, but also because of the living habits of these goats. Because there are no fresh water sources available, goats on this island are accustomed to consuming salty water from the coast and natural food that grows in the island’s environment.
Local people believe these conditions make the taste of goat meat different. The meat is known to not have a strong smell, has a soft texture, and tastes delicious even when cooked with simple spices.
Behind the simple lives of farmers, goat farming is a big hope for the survival of their families. The proceeds from the sale of goats help meet daily needs and children’s education costs.
“During my time as a goat farmer, I felt the benefits, especially for my children’s education. Several of my children are now studying abroad,” said Mr. Musa.

Approaching Eid al-Adha, livestock breeders’ activities usually increase. They began to ensure that the goat remained healthy and suitable for sacrifice. Starting from paying attention to feed to keeping livestock clean to avoid disease.
Through the Sacrifice in the Interior program from Insan Bumi Mandiri (IBM), goats belonging to local breeders are then distributed to communities in various areas of Alor Regency who do not get to enjoy sacrificial meat every year. This program not only brings happiness to the beneficiaries, but also helps local farmers earn income from their livestock.
From this small island far from the city center, it is proven that goodness can be born from places that often go unnoticed. In the future, the Qurban program in the interior is expected to provide benefits by reaching a wider community and empowering local livestock farmers. Learn more at kurban.insanbumimandiri.org.

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
