Glorious Golo Mori, ITDC and IBM Efforts to Strengthen Local Talent in the Tourism Ecosystem

Golo Mori, West Manggarai, NTT – Insan Bumi Mandiri Foundation (IBM) together with PT Indonesian Tourism Development (Persero) or InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) officially launched the program Glorious Golo Mori: Integration of Local Hospitality and MSME Talent into the Tourism Value Chain. This program is part of ITDC’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) initiative.

As a national priority destination area, Golo Mori is developing rapidly. This growth opens up real economic opportunities for local communities. Starting from service friendlinessculinary delights, crafts, processed seafood products, as well as accommodation and transportation. However, such a big opportunity needs to be accompanied by readiness. This is where the program is Golo Mori the Great take on his role.

Two Development Pathways for Local Communities

This program is designed to strengthen the capacity of local human resources and MSMEs. The aim is for the community to be more actively involved in the tourism value chain. Therefore, two development paths are prepared: Hospitality Talent Journey for young people, and Golo Mori Local Business Travel for MSMEs.

“We see that Golo Mori has a lot of potential that has grown from its own community. Through this program, we want to accompany the existing process, and open up more space so that this potential can be connected with the development of the tourism sector,” said Fitranuril, IBM Program Development Supervisor.

Not the first program at Golo Mori

This is not the first time IBM has attended Golo Mori. Previously, a series of empowerment programs preceded development cold storage solar powered for fishermen and assistance in seafood processing businesses for village women are the foundation of trust that makes ITDC collaborate with IBM to continue this collaboration. This time with a larger scale and twice the duration of the previous project.

Glorious Golo Mori activities officially start June 25 2026 with socialization and pre-test at The Golo Mori Beach Shelter, attended by MSME actors, village youth, village government and stakeholders who will be involved until the program is completed at the end of the year.

Training to Market Access

Through Hospitality Talent Journey15 young people from Golo Mori Village will be equipped with tourism skills. Starting from communication to direct service practices in the field. Meanwhile, 10 local MSME players are on the Golo Mori route Local Business Travel encouraged to move up a class. Not only in terms of products, but also the way they run their business. Apart from training, both of them will have the opportunity to test the market, exhibit their work, and access to a network of tourism industry partners directly.

“ITDC hopes that this program can strengthen the capacity of local communities while opening up sustainable economic opportunities, so that communities can act as main actors in destination development and enjoy the benefits of broader tourism sector growth,” said Wahyuaji Munarwiyanto, General Manager of The Golo Mori.

The Glorious Golo Mori program is scheduled to run until December 2026. Through training, mentoring and networks built, ITDC and IBM hope that the Golo Mori community will have wider access to information, opportunities and collaboration that can continue to be utilized even after the program ends.

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
