Tebuireng.online- A group of Fatayat NU Branch Leaders (PAC) in Bangil District, Pasuruan, carried out a friendly visit and volunteer to Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, Jombang, Sunday (15/02/2026). The presence of the group led by Bunyai Arofah was warmly received by the ranks of the Head of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School on the 1st Floor of the Yusuf Hasyim Building.
Present to welcome the group included Mudir 1 KH Abdul Ghofar, Mudir 2 Gus Muhammad Hasyim, and Mudir 5 Kiai Ahmad Roziqi. This meeting was an opportunity to strengthen scientific knowledge and the spirit of service for female Nahdlatul Ulama cadres.
In his remarks, the Chair of the PAC Fatayat NU Bangil, Bunyai Arofah, expressed his gratitude for Tebuireng’s openness in accepting their visit. He emphasized that this agenda was a spiritual effort to strengthen the dedication of Fatayat cadres in the regions.
“We came to stay in touch at once volunteer to founder (founders) of NU, especially Hadratussyaikh KH Hasyim Asy’ari. “Hopefully, we can absorb his enthusiasm and apply it to the daily lives of the Fatayat women in Bangil so that they remain steadfast in serving NU,” said Bunyai Arofah.
Mudir 1 KH Abdul Ghofar, who represented the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School Caretaker, apologized for the absence of KH Abdul Hakim Mahfudz (Gus Kikin). “On behalf of the Caretaker, I apologize because he is carrying out another agenda in his capacity as Chair of the East Java PWNU,” said Gus Ghofar.

Representing the education sector, Kiai Ahmad Roziqi explained material regarding implementation Al-Qanun Al-Asasi in the context of gender equality. According to him, Nahdlatul Ulama from the start has placed women in a very honorable position.
One of the historical evidence presented is the figure of Bunyai Khoiriyah Hasyim, daughter of Hadratussyaikh. “He was educated directly by his father. Even while studying in Mecca, Bunyai Khoiriyah was listed as the founder Lil Banat Madrasah—the first all-girls school in Saudi Arabia,” explained Kiai Roziqi.
In line with this, Gus Muhammad Hasyim also expressed his appreciation for the active role of the NU women’s Autonomous Body (Banom). He reminded that the role of women is very crucial in building the foundations of Nahdlatul Ulama’s civilization.
In the dialogue session, an important conclusion emerged that women play a major role in “treating” or praying for family success and organizational struggles. Kiai Roziqi provides an interesting illustration regarding gender relations in the family.
“Like the head and neck, women are like the neck which has a strategic role in moving the head,” said Kiai Roziqi.
Closing the meeting, Mudir Ma’had Aly Hasyim Asy’ari quoted a message from national figure KH Maimun Zubair (Mbah Moen). He advised women not to get completely caught up in worldly affairs, but to remain focused on being a source of inspiration and spiritual strength for their children and future generations.
The series of visits ended with a pilgrimage to Para’s grave Say Tebuireng, including the tombs of Hadratussyaikh KH Hasyim Asy’ari, KH Wahid Hasyim, and KH Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur).
