Tebuireng.online— One of the students who were also active in the Tebuireng Trensains High School lens community, Kaysa Kamila Yusuf, won 3rd place in the feature writing competition at the National Student Arts and Literature Competition (FLS3N) Festival at the Jombang Regency level. The competition was held at the Supreme Court of Darul Ulum 2 Peterongan.

Kaysa became one of the delegates from Trensains High School from journalistic extracurricular in the competition. He claimed to get information on the competition in mid -May. “I just got the information in the second week of May if I’m not mistaken, when I was at home the holiday was contacted by a journalistic supervisor,” he said when met on Sunday (6/15) at school.

During the race on Friday (6/13/2025), in the process of writing features, Kaysa chose to lift the lens organization, a community in the Trensains High School environment engaged in the arts and literacy. “Because the theme is about the art of reaching the 2045 gold generation of Indonesia, I took the lens organization in this school,” he explained.

Although he had felt less confident with his writing, especially because only he raised the theme, Kaysa continued his creative process. He began to dig up information by interviewing Ustadz Lukman Hakim as the person in charge of the lens before May 27.

“Only after receiving an idea of ​​the title, before May 27 Kaysa interviewed Ustadz Lukman Hakim (the person in charge of the lens) to get accurate information,” he added.

As a journalistic extracurricular member in Trensains High School, Kaysa wrote about the history of the establishment of lenses, organizational structure, products by its members, as well as the contribution of the community to schools.

“I chose this organization actually because I thought that if I was researching out it was difficult to access, and it would make me riweh with the tight schedule,” he said.

In the midst of the dense school activity, Kaysa faced various challenges in completing his writing. “The main factor of my difficulty is because it is the test, being chased by the student council proker, then there is also a rihlah to Jatimpark 2,” said the 11th grade student.

As a santri who has limited access to the device, Kaysa also admitted that it was difficult to compile narratives in accordance with feature writing standards.

“Another difficulty I have not been able to tell the news, especially since there are 8000 words limitations, but thanks to Mrs. Rara I can meet the word boundaries determined by the committee,” he said.

Although he doubted, Kaysa claimed he did not expect to win the championship. “The impression did not expect to be able to get 3rd place, especially now the tests and many other activities, especially from the opponent, the theme really raised about art like musicals, and regional dance,” he said.

Kaysa also expressed his great hopes for the lens organization. “Hopefully it can be more able to carve a good and unforgettable history, then hope for the lens can hopefully become a community that can accommodate all expressions and works in Trensains,” he concluded.
