Raising children is a great responsibility and great honor, which makes Islam trust the neck of parents, especially parents; Where the family is the first curse in building the community, and if the house is reconciled, the community is reconciled, and vice versa.

Islam has given interest in raising children, and clarifying the importance of the role of parents in raising children; And God Almighty Said in Luqman’s letter:﴿ and when he said to his sons, and he preacked to him, my son is not involved in God, it is a great injustice. [لقمان: 13]Explicit invitations to teach children to monotheism and stay away from polytheism, and this is the most important role of parents towards children.

And God Almighty says: ﴿﴿ o you who believe, protect yourself and your people [التحريم: 6]; Imam Al -Tabari said: “Namely: Teach them and adopted them.”[الطبري، جامع البيان في تأويل آي القرآن.].

Educating children is a great responsibility and great glory, Islam makes it a mandate on the shoulders of parents, especially for fathers. This is because the family is the first foundation in community buildings, if every family is good, then both the community, and and vice versa.

Islam has ordered to pay attention to children’s education and explain the importance of the role of fathers in educating their children. Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala said in Luqman’s letter:

And when he said to his son, when he was advised by my son, he did not share with God, because the blessing was great injustice

“(Remember) when Luqman said to his son, when he advised him, ‘O my son, don’t hang out with God!

This is a clear call to teach children in the head and avoid the same thing. That’s the importance of the role of the father for his children.

Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala also says:

O Those of you who believe, protect yourself and your family

“Yes, you believe, take care of you and your family from the fire of hell.” (QS. At-Tahrim: 6).

Imam Ath-Thabari said, “This is to teach them knowledge and courtesy.” (Interpretation Jami al-Bayan fi ta’wil ay al-quur’an The work of Imam Ath-Thabari).

First: Father’s responsibility in education:

The father has the biggest role in guidance, care, and development of education control, and he is the first leader at home; The Prophet, May God’s Prayers and Peace Be Upon Him, says: “All of you are a shepherd and responsible for his flock. The priest is a shepherd who is responsible for his flock, and the man in his family is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock, and the woman in her husband’s house shepherd and she is responsible for her flock, and the servant in the money of his master is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock); [صحيح البخاري: 893].

First: Father’s responsibility in educating

A father has the biggest role in giving guidance and care, and determining the lines of education. He is the main leader in the household. Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam said:

All of you are a shepherd and a question about his parish, and the priest is a shepherd, and he is a question about his parish and the man in his family is a shepherd and a woman who is a shepherd and a shepherd of the past it Money of his master is a shepherd, and he is a question about his parish

“Every of you is a leader who will be held accountable for his leadership, then a priest is a leader for his people and he is responsible for his leadership, a husband is a leader for the family and he is responsible for his family, a wife is a leader for her husband’s house and he is responsible for them, a helper is a leader for his master’s property and he is responsible for him.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari no. 893).

Second: aspects of education that must be taken care of by father:

1- loyal education and contract: the Father began teaching the monotheism of his son; As Luqman did:﴿ o My children, do not partner with God, because the blessing is great injustice. [لقمان: 13].

And the Prophet, may God’s prayer and peace be on him, said: “No child is born in instincts, so that his parents are destroyed, spoken, or spoken.” [رواه البخاري ومسلم]; That is, parents – and fathers in particular – have the greatest impact on the formation of beliefs and behavior.

2- Ethical education: Urge Islam to generous morals, and prophets, hopefully God’s prayers and peace are on it, teaching us to raise our children about honesty, honesty and humility[الغزالي، إحياء علوم الدين، دار المعرفة.].

If his son sees his father, honest, loyal, maintaining his prayers, precisely to his parents, then this will be stronger than a thousand advice.

3- Physical and psychological education: God’s messenger, may God give him up and give him peace, say: ((teach your children to swim, shoot, and ride a horse); [رواه البيهقي في السنن الكبرى]This is an interesting direction in physical and social development.

4- Education with love and dialogue: Prophet, hopefully God’s prayers and peace are on it, hugging Hassan and Hussein, kissing them and playing it, and showing them affection, to teach us how education is compassion.

Second: Educational aspects that a father must pay attention to

  1. Education and education of faith

A father must start his son’s education about care, as Luqman did:

My sons do not share God, because blessings are great injustice

“Yes, my child, don’t hang out with God! Really (Allah) really -really great injustice.” “(Surah Luqman: 13).

Prophet Sallallaahu Alaihi wa Sallam said:

There was no birth but he was born at breakfast, so his father was inaugurated, supported him, or he would make it.

“Not a child born except to be born with the nature of Islam, and his parents will make him a Jew, Christian, or Magic.” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim Clocks).

Namely both parents – more father – have the greatest influence in forming creed and behavior.

  1. character building

Islam greatly promotes the application of high moral character. Prophet Sallallaahu Alaihi wa Sallam has taught us to educate the honesty, trust, and humility of our children. (Book Ihya Ulum Ad-Din Al-Ghazali’s work).

When a child sees his father as an honest, trustworthy, consistent, and devoted way to devote his parents, it will be more influential than a thousand advice.

  1. Spiritual and Physical Education

Prophet Sallallaahu Alaihi wa Sallam said:

Teach your children to swim, generosity, and ride a horse

“Teach your children to swim, archery, and ride a horse.” (Narrated by al-bihahaqi in AS-AL-KUBRA). This is his direction to pay attention to the growth of children from the physical and social side.

  1. Education with affection and positive communication

The Prophet Sallallaahu Alaihi wa Sallam used to embrace Hasan and Husain, kissed and joked with them, and expressed their love for them, to teach us how to educate with love. The feelings of children for love and love from their father will support the increase in the characteristics of these love for themselves and spread it to the people around them.

Third: The importance of role models in children’s lives:

It is important for parents to be a valid role model for their children; Because children are influenced by more actions than just speech, and their personality and behavior are formed through what they see in their father.

And father is the first example, so if his behavior is reconciled, his son will follow him in goodness, and if he deviates, the role model is damaged; The Almighty person says:﴿ You have been in God’s messenger, good. [الأحزاب: 21].

So; A good example of a parent is a solid basis for parenting a good generation for themselves and its people.

Third: Exemplary Urgency in Children’s Life

It has become a necessity for fathers to be a good example for their children, because children will be affected more by the actions of the father than their words, so that it shapes their character and personality through what they see from the figure of the father.

Father is the first example, when his behavior is good, his children will follow his kindness. However, if the behavior deviates, then it becomes a bad example. Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala says:

You have been in God’s messenger, good.

“It is true that the Prophet was really a good example for you.” (Surah Al-Ahzab: 21).

Therefore, a good example of a father figure is a solid basis for the growth of a pious and useful generation for themselves and their people.

Fourth: Consequences of ignoring education:

The neglect of the father over his educational role leads to the deviations of children, loss of values, and corruption of the community; The Prophet, may God’s prayer and peace with him, said: “There is no servant that God takes care of the parish that died on the day he died, and he was a feather for his sponsors, unless God forbade him heaven”); [صحيح البخاري: 6731]

Fourth: As a result of ignoring education

Father’s negligence in his role to educate can cause deviations from children, loss of their values, and community damage. Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam said:

No servant will be taken care of by God, and the day that day was dead, and he was a lamb of his sponsors, unless God forbade heaven to him

“There is no servant who is trusted by God to manage responsibility, and he died in a state of cheating on his responsibility, but God forbade him to enter heaven.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari no. 6731).

• The role of the father in education not only feeding and clothing, but rather the guidance, care, and building a personality that believes in God, carries values, and rises to the country.

• A good example of parents is a solid basis for good generation of parenting and is beneficial for themselves and their people.

• Wrong of Children is a direct fruit from the efforts of parents, and education is the belief that every guardian is asked about the day of resurrection.

Cover

The role of fathers in caring for children is not only limited to food and clothing, but also in giving directions, education, and formation of a faithful character to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala, has noble values, and contribute to the resurrection of the people.

A good example of the figure of a father becomes a solid foundation to form a pious and beneficial generation for the person and community.

Child piety is a direct result of parents’ efforts, and education is a mandate to be held accountable for every parent on the Day of Judgment.
