Ta’aruf with new santri, this is the message of the head of Pondok Putra

Tebuireng.online- All the management and coaches of Pondok Putra Tebuireng carried out ta’aruf with the new santri guardian. Ta’aruf was attended by the Head of Pondok Putra Tebuireng Ustadz Slamet Habib along with the board of management and coaches. Hundreds of new santri guardians and their families also filled the Tebuireng Putra Islamic Boarding School Mosque when the evening prayer was finished on Wednesday (02/07/2025).

In his remarks, Ustadz Slamet Habib or often called Ustadz Habib quoted a hadith narrated from Abu Hurairah. Rasulullah SAW said:

If Ibn Adam died, his work was cut off except from three: great charity, or knowledge that is useful for him, or the right child who calls him

“When someone dies, his actions are cut off except for 3 (p.): Sadaqah Jaryyah, useful knowledge, and a child who prayed for him.”

He explained, that in the pesantren, we can carry out the three things above, “First, our fellow students must help each other, especially when there are friends who have problems with their provisions, we can help Sadaqah for his friends,” he said.

He continued, secondly, useful knowledge. “The knowledge gained in pesantren will certainly be useful specifically for ourselves both for others, especially ladies and gentlemen,” he added. Furthermore, third, Saleh’s son who prayed for himself and his family. “This is one of the hopes for parents to have pious children and always pray for parents both in pesantren (teachers) and at home,” he concluded.

In addition, the Head of Pondok Putra also explained the basic principles of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, namely sincere, honest, responsibility, hard work, and tasamuh. Interestingly, he made these values ​​a song and teach new students and guardians of students to quickly memorize. “If Tebuireng students have this trait, God willing, they will get a blessing,” he explained.

At the end of his remarks he reminded students and parents that new students were not allowed to be symbolized until 40 days and also appealed not to bring mobile phones to the cottage. After his remarks, Ustadz Habib introduced the management and coaches of santri at the Tebuireng Putra Islamic Boarding School.
