Bandung, West Java – Food challenges are still a reality for many families in Indonesia. Answering this condition, through the Insan Bumi Mandiri Foundation (IBM) as a local partner in Indonesia, Muslim AID Australia (MAA) distributed 950 food packages for more than 5,000 beneficiaries in the City of Bandung, West Java and Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.
The package contains staples such as rice, flour, cooking oil, and sugar targets those who live in limitations, ranging from poor families, orphans, to the elderly who live alone. This assistance is a form of cross -border mutual cooperation in bringing concrete support to those who are directly affected by economic conditions and limited food access.
“I am very grateful. This package is enough to eat our family in the next few weeks,” said Mrs. Rahma, a resident of East Mareje Village, West Lombok. In his daily life, he must save money to make sure his children can still eat properly.
This initiative is present in response to high food vulnerability, including in NTB which according to the latest data has a stunting prevalence of 13.88%. This figure reflects nutritional issues that have not been fully resolved, especially in areas far from the city center and access to basic services.
“This assistance is an invitation to strengthen each other,” said Zulfa Faizah Musyahidah, Director of the Insan Bumi Mandiri Foundation. “Cooperation with Muslim AID Australia also helps us reach more people. It is a separate honor to be a bridge for good intentions from Australians to Indonesian citizens.”
Muslim AID Australia (MAA) is an international humanitarian organization that supports various social initiatives in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. In this collaboration, IBM acts as an implementing partner who ensures the distribution process is on target.

Collaboration between IBM and MAA shows that solidarity does not recognize limits. This assistance is not only a buffer for short-term needs, but also encourages that the wider community continues to open their eyes and hearts to the situation of our brothers who are still struggling from day to day.
