Tebuireng.online- Ma’had Aly Hasyim Asy’ari Pesantren Tebuireng held a halalbihalal entitled “Welcoming Marhalah Tsalitsah (M3) as the Peak of Strengthening Separate in this case†, Wednesday (1/4/2026). The event, which coincided with 14 Shawwal 1447 Hijriah, was attended by caregivers, homecoming teachers, lecturers and around 450 students.
Mudir Ma’had Aly Hasyim Asy’ari, Dr. KH. Ahmad Roziqi, Lc., MHI, explained that this year’s theme was direct instruction from the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School Caretaker, KH Abdul Hakim Mahfudz (Gus Kikin). The main aim is to strengthen Ma’had Aly as a boarding school higher education institution capable of producing a cadre of qualified ulama.
“This theme was taken to welcome the founding of Marhalah Tsalitsah (M3). “This is a mandate to prepare mahasantri to be more stable in deepening their religious knowledge and ready to serve society with mature scientific knowledge,” said Kiai Roziqi.
In his speech, Kiai Roziqi emphasized the vital role of mahasantri as scientific ambassadors. He encouraged the intellectual capacities of mahasantri to be widely broadcast as Ma’had Aly’s academic attraction.
In line with this, Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School caretaker KH. Abdul Hakim Mahfudz in Mauidzah HasanahHe emphasized that Marhalah Tsalitsah must have strong distinctions, especially in providing legal solutions to the problems of the people. He hopes that this institution can become a center for the birth of internationally recognized fatwas.
“If all this time we have been waiting for a fatwa from Al-Azhar Egypt, then in the future the fatwa should also appear from Marhalah Tsalitsah to Al-Azhar there,” emphasized Gus Kikin, his nickname.
Ma’had Aly Tebuireng is currently fighting for the M3 level or doctoral program to be realized in 2026. This is expected to be the top of the educational hierarchy at the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School.
“The hope is that someone can graduate from Tebuireng with a doctoral degree. “We are working to make this Marhalah Tsalitsah a reality this year,” concluded Kiai Roziqi.
The event ended with mushafahah (shaking hands) and warm hospitality. This activity is a symbol of the collective commitment of the Ma’had Aly Hasyim Asy’ari academic community in producing a generation of scholars with integrity who are experts in the field of hadith and are able to serve for the benefit of the people.
