AWH Tebuireng High School Holds a Meeting with New Santri Guardian

Tebuireng.online- SMA A. Wahid Hasyim (SMA AWH) Tebuireng held a meeting of the new Santri Guardian in the school yard, as a series of agendas early in the 2025/2026 school year. The activity was opened with remarks from Wali Santri, who was also one of the AWH High School alumni, Muhammad Riztiyanto, graduate in 2004. In his message, he shared a message that he always remembered, “I was advised by teachers in Tebuireng, at least Boyong from the cottage 10 years,” he said.

He also handed all of them to the school, “Please help and leave it fully to educate children, so that they can continue the da’wah of Mbah Hasyim Asy’ari in their respective places while still based on Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah,” he said hopefully.

Head of SMA AWH, Drs. H. Djoko Suwono, M.Si introduced the ranks of teachers and homeroom teachers in front of the Wali Santri. He also explained some important rules such as the prohibition of carrying Mobile“We will limit some habits at home in order to form independence and discipline,” he said.

He also explained the grouping of new students into 9 study groups, with a total of 301 students. Not only that, he also told that the library in 2025 had been accredited A, “This is an extraordinary achievement because there are rarely schools who want to propose library accreditation,” he said.

Deputy Principal for Curriculum, Ms. Nikmah, explained that AWH High School is currently implementing an independent curriculum. After Pandemi Covid-19, the school is no longer using the system full day.

Then he explained that in AWH High School also received a diniyah lesson, “so that the pesantrenan remains felt, in addition to general lessons, students also get diniyah lessons as a strengthening of character and Islamic values.

In the field of achievement, Mr. Arifin said that AWH High School continues to be committed to taking students to the next level with maximum coaching.

“This year there are 81 students who pass the achievement path to PTN and Overseas Higher Education. All schools will deliver children to an extraordinary future,” he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Principal for Student Affairs, Ms. Ulfa, explained that there were 20 active extracurricularities that would be facilitated by schools and special companions every Tuesday, “In a year, there were 111 achievements achieved by AWH High School students from various fields of competition,” he said proudly.

The event was closed with a question and answer session between the santri guardian and the school, then continued with a joint prayer as a closing. Also attended by all new santri guardians, ranks of teachers, school leaders, and several alumni.
