TEBUireng.ONLINE- As an effort to achieve superior accreditation targets, the Masters of Islamic Education Masters (MPAI) Study Program Hasyim Asy’ari University (Unhasy) held a Field Assessment (AL) on 23-24 June 2025 at Building C Unhasy.
Dr. Asriana Kibtiyah, S.Psi., M.Sc., as the Head of S2 PAI Unhasy explained, that accreditation is a form of systemic evaluation or quality assessment process and the performance of study programs determined by the accreditation agency, in this case the Mandiri Education Accreditation Institute (LAMDIK).
“The purpose of accreditation is to guarantee the quality of education in a sustainable manner, ensure that every academic and governance standards have been fulfilled, as well as increasing the competitiveness of graduates at the national and global levels,” he explained when interviewed.
According to him, the accreditation process begins with self -evaluation conducted by the internal team of study programs, the preparation of the Study Program Performance Report (LKPS) and Self Evaluation Report (LED), to the field assessment by the assessors assigned directly by Lamdik.
In this assessment process, there are nine main criteria that are the focus of assessment: the first; Vision, Mission, Objectives, and Strategies (VMTS), Second; Civil service, governance, and cooperation, third; student, fourth; Human Resources (HR), Fifth; finance, facilities, and infrastructure, sixth; education, seventh; research, then community service, and finally; Tridharma’s output and achievement.

“The task of the assessor not only verifies data and observing the field, but also provides valuable input for quality improvement. We really appreciate those professionalisms that help encourage the culture of quality and the spirit of reflection in our academic environment,” said Dr. Asriana.
Dr. Asriana also said that before the field assessment, MPAI study program had made various intensive preparations. One of them is by forming a Task Force team. “MPAI Study Program prepares themselves and forms a Task Force team that works seriously with the support of all leaders both at the university level, dean and from other study program leaders,” he added.
Then, Asriana also explained that after the implementation of the field assessment, the assessment report was prepared by the assessor and submitted to Lamdik. Furthermore, the report will be validated by the validator team and assessed by the assessment council.
He hopes that the results obtained will later improve and improve the quality of MPAI study programs. “We are waiting for these results with the hope of getting the best recognition of the team’s hard work, as well as being a foothold to continue to improve the quality of education services going forward,” said Dr. Asriana.
Furthermore, he expressed his great hopes that MPAI could follow the traces of three other study programs within the Faculty of Islam which had previously won the title of superior.
“Our hope is to achieve and continue the superior tradition that has been achieved by 3 study programs in the Faculty of Islamic Religion, Hasyim Asy’ari Tebuireng Jombang University,” he concluded.
