UMKM Showcase at Golo Mori Convention Center, Local Women Show Entrepreneurial Training Results

Bajo Labuan, West Mangarai -A total of 20 women of MSMEs from Golo Mori Village followed the intensive capacity building for the development of derivative products and marketing, 4 of them directly introduce their products from their business in the event Female umkm product showcasewhich was held at Mori Lounge, Golo Mori Convention Center (GMCC). This event is the culmination of a series of training and assistance they have lived for six meetings in the program Golo Mori His Majestyinitiated by Insan Bumi Mandiri (IBM) with the ASEAN Foundation and the Maybank Foundation through the program Empowering Youth at Across ASEAN (EYAA).

During the training process, the participants went directly to ASEAN volunteers about business development, marketing, to product communication. This showcase is designed as a forum for participants to practice the knowledge they have learned, introduce their products to the public, and build connections with business partners and stakeholders. Although it is still early, this event also aims to increase confidence, open up long -term collaboration opportunities, and encourage the independence of women in developing their own business.

“The product that was introduced today is the first step. Mothers are practicing self-confidence, courage, and determination to develop,” explained Zulfa Faizah Musyahidah, Director of Insan Bumi Mandiri. He added that most of the products displayed were packaged simply and most importantly were neat, with a touch of visual identity made by the participants, assisted by ASEAN Youth Volunteers.

This event was held with the support of the Golo Mori Convention Center (GMCC) which provides place facilities and Rest coffee. Aesthetic and comfortable atmosphere in Mori Lounge becomes the ideal space for participants to show their products, especially because in a professional and inclusive atmosphere. The event was also attended by village government representatives, cooperatives and SMEs, as well as local business actors, as part of efforts to build cross -sectoral collaboration.

One of the participants, Leni, MSMEs in the culinary field, expressed his happiness because all his new products were sold out. “Usually I only sell snacks and cold drinks on the beach. Today all products are bought up! I am very happy and impatient to continue to practice the results of the training for two weeks,” he said. He even claimed to have trained himself for three days to be able to appear confident when presenting his products in public.

The Head of Maybank Heart and Youth from the Maybank Foundation, Aidir Putera, expressed his hope to ASEAN volunteers so that their experience in Golo Mori became a valuable provision that they could bring back to their respective home countries. “We hope that the impact is not only felt here, but also inspires positive contributions in their own community.”

The Glorious Golo Mori program carries a community involvement -based approach, with the main focus on strengthening local economic capacity, especially women and fishermen.
