Strengthening Scientific Sanad, Nurul Falah Islamic Boarding School Pasir Malang Tebuireng 9 Celebrate Religion to Tebuireng Jombang

Tebuireng.online– A group of students and caregivers from the Nurul Falah Pasir Malang Tebuireng 9 Islamic Boarding School, Lebak, Banten, made a spiritual visit or religious celebration to the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, Jombang, East Java, on Tuesday (23/12/2025). This visit is not just an ordinary religious tour, but rather an effort to “Connect Sanad” for the Nurul Falah Islamic Boarding School which is the 9th branch of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School. This step was taken to strengthen scientific and spiritual ties between the central Islamic boarding school and the branch located at the western tip of Java Island.

The arrival of the group was warmly welcomed by the Teacher of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, KH. Abdul Hakim Mahfudz (Gus Kikin), Chairman of the Masyayikh Council, Dr. KH. Musta’in Syafi’i, as well as the ranks of mudir and dzurriyah (descendants) of Hadratussyaikh KH. Muhammad Hasyim Asy’ari.

Chairman of the Trustees of the Nurul Falah Islamic Boarding School Foundation, KH. Rafiuddin emphasized that as an official branch, his party feels the need to ensure that the curriculum and teaching methods in Banten are totally oriented towards the Tebuireng tradition.

“Our main goal is to connect scientific circles. We want to ask for blessings from the dzurriyah so that our struggle in Banten remains on the same path and has the same blessings as Central Tebuireng,” said KH Rafiuddin in an interview session.

He added, so far the asatidz (teachers) at Nurul Falah have taught books by Hadratussyaikh KH Muhammad Hasyim Asy’ari. This visit was also used to request diplomas directly from his descendants as wasilah (intermediary) for the blessing of knowledge for the students.

The culmination of the series of “Sambung Sanad” activities was marked by the procession of awarding sanad diplomas from the book of the Ahlussunnah Wal Jama’ah Minutes. Gus Kikin gave the diplomas directly to students and teachers from Banten.

The awarding of this diploma symbolically indicates that the scientific transmission from the founder of Nahdlatul Ulama has been legally and authentically connected to the next generation at the Nurul Falah Islamic Boarding School.

Through strengthening this sanad, KH. Rafiuddin hopes that the students are not only intellectually intelligent, but also have sufficient spiritual depth.

“Our hope is that the students will gain the benefits of blessed knowledge so that they will be ready to go directly into society. Be it in the religious sector or the government sector, in accordance with the expectations of the caregivers,” he concluded.
