Lively HSN 2025, Tebuireng Santri Painting Competition with Environmental Jihad Theme

Tebuireng.online- In celebration of National Santri Day 2025, the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School held several competitions which were held consecutively. One of them is a painting competition which will be held on Sunday, October 12 2025.

The painting competition activity at the National Santri Day event is the newest thing in the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School competition. This was stated by Ustadz Akris Ahmad Krismon as the person in charge of the painting competition.

“The initial idea was because it was clear that it had never existed in Tebuireng. In Tebuireng, there are actually many students who have the potential to paint and we can appreciate through visuals how the students of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School respond to National Santri Day, they can appreciate the visuals through the art of painting,” he said.

Unexpectedly, this painting competition received very good appreciation from the units at the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School.

“And thank God, with this, several units warmly welcomed and participated totally in taking part in the painting competition on this santri day,” he said.

Regarding the theme of the painting competition, this time the theme was environmental topics, related to jihadi students’ concerns about science.

“In the current era, Islamic boarding school students are fighting jihad with the challenge of protecting the environment and gaining knowledge to maintain civilization. Caring for a green, healthy and clean environmental civilization is a legacy of our previous ulama,” he said

Finally, he also revealed that next year it could still be held and hopefully the event will be better and livelier than this painting competition.
